Digital signage for a small business, priced per screen

You don't need an AV consultant for one screen at the front desk. You need a screen that doesn't die in a year, mounted level, connected to software you can update from your phone. That's $2,950 for a 32-inch and $3,450 for a 55-inch, installed, with the first year of software included.

Each screen includes a commercial 4K display (500 nits, rated for long daily hours), a wall, menu or tilt mount, a CrownTV media player, install by our licensed and insured crew, training and year-one software. Prices set October 14, 2026, before tax.

When a TV from the electronics store is fine

Honestly, sometimes it is. If the screen is on four hours a day in a back office and you don't mind replacing it, a consumer TV and an $8 to $30 a month software app will work. We'd rather tell you that than sell you something you don't need.

It stops being fine in three cases. The screen runs all day, because consumer panels aren't rated for it and the warranty excludes business use. The screen faces a window, because a living-room TV is about 350 nits and disappears in daylight; you need 2,500+. Or you have two locations, because now someone has to update two TVs by hand.

What small businesses put on the screen

  • Menu and prices that change by time of day.
  • This week's promotion, scheduled to start and stop on its own.
  • Your Instagram feed, pulled in automatically (L'Occitane runs its feed this way).
  • Wait times or a queue number at a clinic or service desk.
  • Services and prices at a salon or spa front desk.

What install day looks like

One technician for screens up to 55 inches, two for 65 inches and up. We need a power outlet where the screen goes; the crew hides the cable and mounts the CrownTV player behind the screen. Your content is loaded before they arrive, so the screen shows your menu or welcome message the moment it powers on, and you get a walkthrough on changing it from your phone. Scheduling is typically 5 to 7 business days after the paid invoice. If you're in New York City, it's our own crew from 433 Broadway.

Common questions

Small business signage questions

What's the cheapest way to get digital signage for a small business?

If you already own a decent TV and only need it on a few hours a day, a software plan and a streaming stick will do. If the screen is on all day, faces a window, or you don't want to troubleshoot it, our turnkey screen starts at $2,950 installed (32-inch) with the player and a year of software.

What is the best digital signage for a small business?

For most small businesses the best setup is one commercial 43 or 55-inch screen at the counter or front desk, running cloud software you can edit from a phone, which with CrownTV costs $3,150 to $3,450 installed with the player and a year of software. If the screen faces a window, it needs a 2,500+ nit panel. If it's on four hours a day in a back office, a TV and an app is fine.

What is the best digital signage software for small businesses?

The best digital signage software for a small business is the one you'll actually keep updating: browser-based, with templates, scheduling and phone access, at a year-two price per screen you can see in writing, which for CrownTV's Dashboard is $20 per screen per month. Self-serve plans run about $8 to $30 per screen per month and are a fair choice if you already own a commercial screen. Ours is included in year one with every turnkey screen.

How many screens does a small business need?

Usually one or two. One at the front desk or counter, maybe one in the window or waiting area. Start with one and add a second once you know what content works.

What does it cost per month?

Nothing in year one, because software is included. From year two it's $20 per screen per month. A two-screen setup is $40 a month.

Who makes the content?

You can, in the browser-based Dashboard with templates. Or we design it: $575 one-time for a custom template with 3 revisions.

Is there a contract?

Full payment schedules the install, and purchase orders are accepted. After year one, software is $20 per screen per month.
